I've got 2015 model S and it's great. I tried the Multistrada and the BM XR1000 and the KTM was definitely the best. Love it. I've only done 7,000 miles in the first year but it's been faultless and real fun

I bought one last month, hasn't turned a wheel yet as I've been away but it's been faultless so far

I've been on both the 1190R and 1290R. Absolutely stunning bikes. When I'm a proper old cunt I'll get one . . .

18K km on my 1190S. Amazing bike. Very capable on and off-road (well, not too far offroad - it's a heavy bugger to drop, and if you hit something like a rock at speed, all that force will bend something). It had a software glitch causing the fuel guage to freeze in the first 6 months, but no bother since. Stick some PowerCell Pods on it and you never need to worry about the airbox.

You should be getting a great deal on an 1190, I've never had so many smiles per miles apart from mine being the one to set fire to itself and cause the recent recalls! I still enjoy every mile ridden, being a hooligan is good for the soul?

That's a pretty good deal. When I was looking for a new one I was offered a 2015 unregistered one for £11k. If you can get a 2016/17 one for £10.5k I'd go for it.
Mine's a 2013 one but first registered in March 2015 but they gave a 3 year warranty from the day it was plated, so I've got another 15 months warranty which is a comfort.

Tried a new GS1200 which was probably better for 2-up use but gutless in comparison to the 1190. Same thing with the SuperTen - similar size to the GSA which is just too big. The 1190 is only about 10kg heavier than my Tiger800 but with 50% more power. And by Christ when you want to get a move on you'll not be disappointed
