    Hi,
Ordered my G2 from Redline on Monday - arrived this morning. £72 including delivery.

Got it fitted already (what a pain getting the Honda Heated grip off in one piece)

Fitted the 400 cam - I'll let you know how it performs tomorrow.

    Thanks
    Pete

You might find the 400 a bit too gentle - I'm tempted to put the 100 back in again for road use and keep the 400 for off-road.

After I got mine [1] I popped into the garage to see how tricky it would be to fit - no intention of actually doing it. 10 mins later I was back in the house with a cuppa - even after a quick up-and-down the drive just to check I hadn't cocked it up - it is THAT easy Mine you I had got a new grip[2] which I had already fitted - getting the old one off might take a few mins.

Un-do hand guard end allen screw.
un-do the two allen screws holding the throttle assembly together
    un-hook throttle cables
    slide off old throttle tube
    slide on new tube
    hook up the throttle cables
put throttle housing back on (with the two bolts)
put allen screw back to attach hand guard
fire up bike and check throttle action (and closure!!)
    put kettle on

    Cheers

    Markie

[1] Was in the US so contacted Sam at Ergo directly and he sent me one to where I was staying - £55 all in IIRC - for those of you having a problem getting one and maybe visiting the US
[2] Went to Tri Counties and asked for a new set of standard grips. They didn't have any in stock but one of the mechanics said "I've got some new ones that I took off a new bike to fit heated grips". So a small cash donation to their tea and biccie fund and the deal was done If you are after a new set of grips - maybe worth asking your local dealer?

    Hi,
Been out on the road with the 400 cam installed and there is a distinct improvement in the sensitivity of the throttle.

At low speeds it is so much smoother on and off the throttle (seemed particularly good coming off the throttle). There was still an eliment of snatchiness if I didn't think about what I was doing, but I would say a 70% improvement. However if I tried to be smooth it was far better. With the original throttle it was difficult to be smooth even if you tried hard. With the G400 throttle you don't need to try too hard and all snatch is gone.

    Well worth the £72 !!

Very. Undo the bolt holding the end of the hand guard, undo the two halves of the L-shaped throttle cable guide, unhook cables, slide throttle tube off bars, unclip cam and replace with one of choice.

Assembly is the reverse of disassembly. Call it ten minutes start to finish (assuming you know where your tools are )

    G2

Just done mine. Couldnt get much easier to fit, the only pain was getting the grip off the old throttle tube, apart from that the cam takes less than 2 mins to fit.

The product spec says that it fits all 990 models including the Super Duke so I trust that is true as I just ordered one from Gear 4 as Redline don't have any in stock!
    Welcome to the daRRRRk side

Yes, it should fit - it's a generic part anyway.
