Cant help but get excited, not saying I am going to jump ship but it will be nice to see Honda back in the mix, I have a gut feeling we might see a bit more red out and about in the near future.

I would have thought it would make more sense to make something that no one else does, there's plenty of big adventure bikes, what's the point in another one.

This could be complete shit...but if honda claim 100 RW ponies normally its true, weight also...KTM claim my SE is 98 ponies...that aint RW. Honda FI will be smooth as butter, air box will be filtered like a nuns box. Honda lost their way after XRV cos it just didn't sell.

If Honda don't use a V, then I'll be disappointed. That V4 from the RVF/VFR is a lovely motor, parallel twin...The Yam Super 10 twin for me doesn't inspire.

We're all hoping not, but we all secretly know it's gonna be an NC750 with a HRC paintjob and fuckall else.

If it was toss up between an NC 750&1290 Super Adv...then i would buy a Van Van

If it came to the fore that HRC had cut the mustard in delivering a bike that was useful and didn't look like a bag of spanners then i would sign up to it...

They missed a golden opportunity with the last Transalp, made it too road orientated, if they had made that with more off road bias that would have been something I would have considered. Most people going solo do not need 100hp.

Had a new Transalp, a bit boring but I was ok with the power, all be it the lack of it but a good stepping stone to the 990, the 1st thing I noticed going from the Transalp to the 990 was how well balanced the 990 was and still amazed how well the finish is on my 2012 990A, the Transalp was showing rust in the first year on the frame and my Honda Hornet was the same, very poor finish on both bikes and I said to my self I will never buy a Honda again, but if they do come up with the goods I will think again!

We all (well me anyway!) want it too much. Will never happen but be a Super-T extra plastic-fat version of an already bastard child. Those renditions of the CRF450 Dakar with some extra girth are just teasers.

Wish I was wrong, hoping I'm wrong - would love what is rumoured...

Would save me buying one of those dreadful SDR1290 things and losing my license and going to jail.... Must resist...

I'm extremely happy to be proved wrong, that is really moving in the right direction.

Now picture that in a Dakar/HRC paintjob, I'm suddenly all interested.

If Honda can bring that to market without messing it up I'd could go for it.

Saw it at the Milan show today - photos to follow ..........

But it needs a bit of work if anyone thinks it has a chance of replacing the 950/990..........

E

It did not look lightweight - big bulky engine and twin discs suggest it will be fairly heavy (the LC 8 motor is incredibly light ! ). Also very exposed exhaust and engine casings sticking well outside the small sump guard. 21 inch front wheel though .....

Engine - Yup the lc8 is a class leader in that area. Twin discs are pretty standard now, lc8 adv's have them, only the SE comes with a single front, and when on the road I'll admit sometimes I could do with more, off road it's great.

Yeah I thought the sump guard was a bit pants. What money on a 750 AT style wrap around guard being the best selling accessory? :)

> 21 inch front wheel though .....

Hope it stays.

Not looking to sell the SE but eventually it'll go, so hoping someone brings out something to tempt me.

Thanks Owen.

Cheers
