wow your courier is rippin you off there , use parcelmonkey it will be about a tenner plus whatever a box an bubble wrap costs
i used the cheap ones once for a 500 quid glass shower unit ,they broke it and would nt pay out for any damage, once bitten twice shy lol

its not a cheap company , that particular quote is for a parcel 80cmx80cmx40cm weighing 10 kg city link is the courier and its £7.49 plus vat parcel monkey buy thounsands of package slots in one go to get them at a cheap price then sell them to you, useed them loads with no probs , by all means pay more if ya want just thought id give ya a little heads up

parcel monkey are literally a bunch of arseholes. the owner is a guy called Naz (something or other) who phoned me up to tell me I was a bell end and then offered me a fight! they messes up my order, the guy was desperate for the pipe I was sending so I had to cancel, parcel monkey didnt tell interlink and some poor sucker driver showed up 3 weeks later to try and collect it!
I would have said the name was quite fitting but thats actually a terrible slur to the majority of monkeys and apes, 'parcel moron' would be better, better still would be 'parcel arsehole'....
