Unfortunately I was on it when the steering stem broke.......my right ankle and left wrist were also broke.....but that was back in january and now I`m screwed back together and getting ready to enjoy my new 2010 990R

A young fella drove out onto the roundabout without looking. I think the height of the S made sure I went over the roof of the car and not through the drivers side window. That would have been messy.

I would rather get rid as a whole. I dont have the time or space to strip it.

    Sounds painful :(

Glad you are on the mend, good point about the ejector seat height of the S

Its a shame the ferry will cost about £300 otherwise I would be interested in it as a Winter project.

[QUOTE=Blackhole;950507The insurance co are putting a salvage value of £800 but surely it`s got to be worth more than that?[/QUOTE]

So are you happy to get more than £800 ?? You must have an idea of what you would like ?? Or are looking to get rid of as soon as ??

Appreciate you don't want to strip it but very interested in the centre stand! Well you gotta ask right...

Hope your ok, broke me kneck on a similar one on a ducatti, impact fracture, split the vertebra when I headbutted the A pillar. Reckon you are right the height helped you loads. 15 years on and stiill a pain in the kneck, in more ways that one

    Hope you heal up well.

If its bids you are after... find out if its Cat C or D, ask for the engineers report so we can see if the frame is damaged.... and let the fun commence
