Well I guess the title and the price will have got your attention !
I am afraid I have succumbed and have an 1190R on order for February delivery so the time has come for my 990 to move to pastures new.
It is a 2007 model first registered March 2008. Currently just under 39,500 miles but may go up slightly as I am using it daily. Full dealer service history. Always run on Motorex PowerSynt and genuine filters. It will have a major service (incl valve clearances) and new chain/sprocket kit fitted before sale.
Oberon clutch slave and new water pump shaft/seals fitted around 19,000 miles. Pulled the clutch cover last week and no signs of any water in the oil.
No photos of the bike at the moment as it is being used daily and is minging ! Will be giving it a good clean over the weekend and will post pics early next week.
To get as much cash as possible I am planning to remove a lot of the extras that are currently on off the bike and sell them separately – I need to do this to afford the new bike ! So when I sell the 990 it will be pretty much standard trim apart from :
GPR full 2-1 exhaust
KTM crash bars
Folding mirrors
KTM heated grips
Scottoiler
KTM plastic frame protectors
G-It sumpguard
KTM bar risers
Aftermarket decal kit fitted – can be removed to go back to the original anthracite/grey bodywork. Apart from the damaged panel mentioned above the bodywork/tanks are all in excellent condition.
Now the bad points :
It will be sold with my ‘offroad’ wheels fitted. Complete with half worn TKC 80’s and heavy duty tubes front and rear. Usual corroded spokes ! It has been dropped gently and the left side fairing panel has some damage (not cracked or broken but paint is damaged).
Probably will not have a rear rack fitted (not sure where I put the original one and I think I gave the grab rails away to another forum member a while back………..)
The bike is in Jersey and will need to be collected (I can organise delivery to Portsmouth for about £125). It will need to be re-registered in the UK (I suspect it will need an MOT first) and VAT will be due at 20% on import.
I have a long list (see below) of 'spares and accessories' which can be supplied with the bike if required (at an extra cost) - otherwise they will all be going up for sale here or on ebay - please don't flood me with messages asking about bits - I don't want to sell any of the parts until the bike is sold and I know what i will have left !
