Thread: 2010 exc-f 250 carb noise

Hi all, i,ve got a 2010 exc-f 250 and have had it a couple of weeks and after finishing a recent enduro i washed it down etc and took off the side panel to the air filter and while it was running at tick-over it sounded a bit rattley or metalic coming from the carb,but only really noticed it with the cover off and then worse with the filter out.
Am I worrying over nothing and this is a normal sound? please give me your opinion out there.

Mine had what I would describe as an intermittent "clacking" noise.... which sounded horrible - deffo from the carb, but when revved it all went away. The sound was metal on metal, I thought mine was knackered - but it ran fine.
