    Ducati Multisrada

I'm at great risk of being ridiculed/insulted/shot here, but just wondered, out of interest like, if anyone has had a go on a Multistrada? Gulp.
I think they look a bit strange, but just wondered how they rode from the point of view of a KTM person.
I've got an Adventure which I really like, I'm Just interested.

I was thinking about a MS when I was getting rid of the TL - they are apparently a VERY good road bike for general cruising around. What put me onto the Duke and off the MS was the extra weight of the MS, lots of dodgy wiring problems, less suspension and silly expensive prices for old slags ... I'd still like to ride one though. The MS, not an old slag.

Oh I'm talking about the old model, not the new 1200 or whatever they are.

I was thinking more of the 1200 but I guess similar points apply. They are bursting with electronics which is s bit of a worry, esp on an Italian bike. They are also v expensive.
Be nice to test ride one.

For my sins I work at a Ducati dealership and could have pretty much permanent use of a Multistrada demo foc. But I went out and spent my own cash on a 990 Adventure and use that every day.......................

Tried the 1200 Multi last year before buying my 990 adv, great bike rides like a dream very fast and handles like on rails BUT !! very expensive, felt heavier than my adv,it will never be any good off road, more of a posers bike i think!
But if you spend all your time on road and have 14K to spend its still a great bike i would buy one.
Oh forgot to mention its a bit of a faf all that no key lark.

I test rode one a couple of months ago and after a couple of miles i knew i would,nt want to own one. Really did,nt like the gearbox, i felt i was sitting too far forward for comfortable quick road riding, felt way too Lardy. And worst of all it just felt boring to ride. I even cut the demo short cos it was,nt doing it for me..Thats not really a constructive explanation, but it were,nt great....
