My biking year so far consist of 100 miles

Re-taxed the bike last Sept. Since then I have done 200 miles

Getting to think is it worth the outlay, especially the work and money I spent on the bike over the winter.

Before you all year bikers start. I ride my bike whenever possible. Usually a European trip.

Anyone one else feeling the same way.

done a few more than you, but not many, Bought the febuary and done just 400 miles. Had planned on a few trips to BSB and wsb, but to date not done any, dont fancy sitting around in the wet and wind, now the nights a drawing in, i recon summer or warmer weather is on the way!!!

Tis my main reason for knocking it on the head, I had £10k worth of bikes in the garage at one point and did about 150 miles combined (excluding the ride back from Swansea when I bought the 9 fiddy)

My missus said to me the other day, you clean your bikes more than you ride them, with work, shit weather, a child and having a glass back I quickly realised that it was a dear do for not alot of return. Add this to the fact that plod, knobhead drivers, cameras and thiefs are aplenty (and I change bikes like I change me scrazzers) it was an easy choice to take a break.

I'll be back next year but may reconsider what I do, I might have a year of track days, get a Jap IL4 and do one a month from April - Oct . . .

Got out a bit in may on the 690 smc during the few decent weeks of weather we had.

Then I bought the rc8r akra and have hardly been out,rarely get out at all now with this feckin rain.About £14k worth of toys in the garage.There's road racing on 3 miles from my house today and I still can't take the bike over with the rain.Also pricing insurance at the minute and it's fuckin mental!


Have I considered flogging them....no-couldn't bring myself to do it

Brought my Superduke at the start of april and by the end of the first week in may i had done 3000 miles. Unfortunately its been sat in Germany for the last month while ive been stuck on some shitty course. Looking forward to gettingback to it next week.

Just brought a new set of tyres for it as the rear is fooked already.

Hopefully next year will be full of big rides on the SDR and plenty of twisty lanes and track time on the SMR

I feel the same ,i know that theres no point in selling my bike though because as soon as its gone i'll miss having it and hanker after another one.I also had in mind days out to bsb,wsbk motogp, etc but so far due to bad weather,work,family commitments etc i've done fuck all.
