Finding a Super Enduro 950, what's under the seat?

Been considering various KTM's of late and the 950 super Enduro has got my interest.

However I can't seem to find any for sale, are they a hard bike to find and what's the price range for a mint one? Tried MCN, Ebay etc.

Also can any SE owners tell me if the frame rails are flat under the seat or is there electrics/airbox sticking up, as I'd most likely need to fit another homemade seat in place, as I am a short arse elf like person

    hi

There's a couple of SE's on Autotrader at the moment - no idea what they are like but the one in Fowlers has (IIRC) 1600 mile s so should be pretty mint. There was a very nicely rally prep'd one on here a while back - no idea if it's still for sale or gone though.

Not exactly sure what you are asking about the seat. There are a few bits and bobs under there, fuse box and the like, but if you really need to change the seat pan to be able to reach the ground (as opposed to getting the seat re-upholstered) the SE may not work out for you. Better to spend the money on a professional lowering set up - I think pebble35 here mentioned KTM do a kit (or that might have been for the Adv??).

    cheers

    there amazing!

I've was after one for a while, had it for about 3 weeks now.
They pop up every now and then but sell quickly.

I'll post some pics later of the seat tray for you.

    Thanks Elliot in advance.

Markie, I hear you on the suspension which I would prefer to go down that route first, but if that's still not good enough a home made seat would be the next option - not be the first time, anything to get the bike I want
Your talking to someone who likes to ride rat bikes so appearance is not the issue for me as it is to others.
    Off for more SE research....

Sounds cool, you'd recommend it then!

Any idea what mileage you get to the tank?

Stock tank - between 100 - 115 to the light, then 30ish to dry. Safari tank 205 - 248 to the light then another 55 until dry.

    cheers

With my commute, all town riding(so manly 2nd & 3rd gear), I get 60 miles to the tank
On longer rides and using 6th, you'll get closer to the 100 Markie speaks of

mmm a wee bit less than I was hoping for on the tank capacity. I had a vmax that done the same and it was a right pain in the arse when touring abroad, or the west of scotland. Safari tanks the answer but not too cheap eh? Still I'd be happy to carry an extra fuel bottle for emergencies so not the end of the world. Any other ways of upping the capacity for longer missions? (other models tank that fit etc)

sorry, not taken any photos yet - will go into the garage tomorrow

There is a tank you can put on one side of the bike but have to remove an exhaust.
