    gopro mounting

Off to cadwell on tuesday on the 525. Managed to blag a gopro for the day but not sure where best place is to mount it. Would imagine it'll tug a bit at 100mph stuck to the top of my helmet. What's quality like stuck to the front number board or handlebars? Anyone got some youtube links?

I mounted mine to the left had engine casing facing forwards. Gave a really good view of the track, the front wheel and the suspension working too. Swing arm facing backward or forwards is a good view too. Next I'm going to be trying a homemade chest mount.

Was there yesterday and has go pro mounted to front number board as told me helmet mounts are not aloud. Footage was very good and even after a crash the camera was un touched. Will post some footage on here and utube later.

Quality on that spanish clip looks spot on, no speedo on my 525 to worry about though! Seems like a good way to get an idea of lap times too. What sort of memory card do I need to get? Seen a san disk 32gb Class 10 for under £20: SanDisk Ultra 32GB UHS-I Class 10 SDHC Memory Card: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

Not really up to speed on all this yet...

I also used a Micover for eliminating most of the wind noise. They only cost a few quid and make the sound of the engine and engine note much clearer:

I mounted mine on the handguard, but there was a lot of noise. Not sure if the camera is loose in the cover or if its the awesome power of the 450...... makes a sound like a top fuel dragster

@Crispy, how did you go about mounting it on the engine? My folks just bought one for a car trip to the alps. I will be nicking it afterwards of course and wouldn't mind this engine mount idea. I don't see the suction arm sticking on too well

Might be worth going with the 45 frame rate rather than HD at 30fps-better see what Crispy reckons.

Only tip is with handlebar mount the vibe/buzz sometimes gives a speed blur effect as below on my 450......other one was helmet mount so I guess any place its not gonna move at high frequency. Oh yeah get a fog insert as well (desiccant products) so it does not steam up and spoil your vid later on. Either that or use the open back to the case if its not raining.

    contour handlebar mount

gopro helmet mount (i realise you cant do but maybe body)?
