    Unhappy Alpinestars Tech8 boots

This may seem like a naive question, but how the hell do you ride in boots like these?!

The toe is so high I had to raise the gear lever on my 690 by an inch or more. Now it's so high I have to take my foot off the peg to change down. The boots are so heavy and inflexible that there's absolutely no feedback - just like wearing concrete boots.

Is this something one gets used to, or do MotoXers never change gear?

Are they new? If yeah, then I'm pretty sure they'll give after a few outings. Loosten the second bottom strap off for the time being. The thing with MX boots is that by the time they are comfortable they're usually f*cked.

Theyre fine on my duke 2, does take a bit of getting used to admittedly and as posted above, they will need wearing in if brand new.
I love the feel of a big sturdy boot and they feel safe and strong, plus theyre good for foot out supermoto sliding

I've had the same problem on my SMC 660, even considering fabricating a longer gear shifter in the hope that it might make it easier. They look and feel the business but changing gear is a nightmare I've gone back to my SMX racing boots for now until I can figure out a solution.

My A/Stars were fine on my 660 never had a problem,
950 Adventure and a little 525 is all one needs.
