It's a good idea to be in the left hand rut on a bend, that way two bikes shouldn't meet in the same rutt.

You cannot see on the clip that the guy was commited coming the other way, I could hear him coming, so I stopped, probably just as well.
The vid looks tame compared to what it looked like from where i was at the time, I don't know who was more shocked me or him.
We all like to have a blast, but I think these guys were a bit OTT (IMO) as they could'nt see where they were going and there were walkers with kids and dogs

I don’t know that particular lane, but I presume it’s a Byway or you wouldn’t be riding it would you?

Being as a byway is a road, the oncoming rider was on the wrong side of the road.
Some riders do seem to forget the rules of the road on byways as your video shows.

As much as anything this is a plea to others, please stay on the correct side of the road, and treat blind bends with the caution they deserve.

Please remember a byway is not a racetrack and you can be nicked for dangerous driving/riding if you are caught riding like a maniac.
