just read the post from SM950MIKE about free neck warmers & it got me thinking i have just bought me sen a 2007 Vespa PX125 which currently sits next to my superduke, same colour ( The fast Black- well in the case of the SD anyway) same age. SD done a little more miles as the Vespa has just turned 5oo KM's from new.
i know there is likely to be some pisstaking but has anyone else got an interest in Scooters

A few mates of mine have them, the one runs South Birmingham Scooter Club . I think they look cool and can see the attraction to them .Most of them have bikes aswell , these type of people like yourself are known as Mockers (half MOD half ROCKER)

I used to be a member of The Manchester Lyons Lambretta Club and for a couple of years in the early 70s tried racing Lambrettas against other scooter clubs, not with any success I might add. Lots of fun and fairy cheap to work on tune etc.

"Just be careful on her, she has been race tuned and has a race exhaust, Rapid".
It has got more power than the last scooter i rode which i had to get off and push up hills. i dont think they are designed for pull 17 stone up hills.

love scooters and everything scooter related, got a lammy GP frame with a v5 ,a box of cutting discs and a welder .
just waiting to find some time money and space to start a 250/300 ktm engined street racer.
the same thing always happens though, i end up riding something with knobblies covered in shit!!!

I got a PX200 in my garage (nearly nexto the superduke, there's a rover mini in between ), which I've been intending to fix up and restore since a stoned knob ran me over about 4 years ago. Been riding "big bikes" since, but still love the old scoots, and this one will go back on the road.

BTW. This one has nearly 70,000km on the clock

And for all those who think you need a KTM to ride Dakar:

Cool photo dude, got back ache after about 1 hrs riding today so i think the dakar might be a bit much. good fun though.

Not a Vespa or Lambretta but I've got a Peugeot Speedfight 2 100cc and I love it! Use it in the winter and for popping to the shops. Does about 65 mph and is quite nippy off the line. Thing is whenever I get on it, I feel compelled to stick on a hoody, some tracky bottoms and trainers and hoon about with me lid undone........

I commute to work on a Honda PCX 125. Not glamourous, but 100 mpg, no sitting in queues and most importantly, no winter crud on my pride and joy.

WTF have i started
but theres no way i'm going to admit having a Honda Zoomer in the shed
