Thread: Kids try out

I have a nearly 6 year old son who i have been trying my best to get him into biking. Only thing is hes a bit of a wimp and only just managed to pursuade him to try his push bike with stabalisers as he said it was a bit wobbly lol.
My question is there anywhere i can go to try him out on a quad? I would buy him one tommorrow but i dont want to buy it if he wont do it. If he wont do it ill have to give up and start work on my 2 year old daughter instead

i bought my kid a bike about that age and a go cart, he just wasn't interested,which made me crazy, because id of killed someone for a bike at that age, my advice would be dont push him into it, take him somewhere where other kids are riding bike's and see if he takes the bait

me too! I would have (and probably still would) kill for someone to buy me a bike and actually encourage me to ride! but i think the idea of showing him other kids having a great time on bikes would be a great idea... kids are strange creatures, some are scared of lots of stuff, some are not interested in much at all... myself I was terrified of seaweed and crabs but not interested in anything but motorbikes and had to be surgically removed from a pw50. always two sides to every story though, try to be positive if he doesnt want anything to do with it, it will save you a shit load of cash buying him a train set!

I did take him to armthorpe and seen all the kids riding round on their pw50s which he loved and said he wanted one then when i actually spoke to him about getting one he went off the idea.

you can get an outrigger kit for a pw50/mini ktms etc (or could just make one yourself)



wonder if that would swing it, failling that, just buy one, see if he likes it any better when he can sit about in the garage on it? you will never struggle to sell a nice pw50!

He'll either be into bikes or he wont, 2 things were always on my mind when i was about 9/10 years old, girls and bikes and I'm still crazy about both and after over half a dozen surgeries, I've realized bikes are safer and not as demanding as a naked late night 2 hour H&H with a hot angry chick

lol! we must have been seperated at birth!! I was (and still am) obsessed with bikes and naked ladies!

He WILL be into bikes lol. Theyve got the mini oset bikes in leisure trail and when ever we go in he says he wants one and sits on it. But even with his pushbike i had to lower one of his stabalisers as it was wobbly and he wouldnt ride it. Thats why im thinking a quad first to get him used to having an engine.

Junior started with them at age 7, furthest regular travellor comes from 100 miles away, I`m lucky its on my doorstep.
