I dont see anyone else doing anything to keep the lanes open. Yeah it's easier to take piss (just as guilty mesen) but sometimes you have to stand and be counted.

I've booked the day off work for it, and if you want any lanes left to ride I think everyone on here should do the same.

(Or just leave it to someone else)
Now then fat boy, I hope your not calling me a clicky MOFO, cos thats the last hug you're getting from me
I'm a member of the the same TRF group as Fat RichH and Majesty (your right bearded people are wierd) and myself and another member have been given the task of updating our Mem-Map overlay for our group, I don't honestly know where all this our routes sheeet comes from, our club have always shared routes with members and advised on routes as they get TRO'd or as has recently happened re-opened.
I have made sure to try and keep a clear diary for next Tuesday and hope to attend one of the ride-outs. The most important thing that needs to be echoed is anyone attending please ensure your bike is 100% road legal and that we all ride in a sensible and considerate manor. I will have my helmet camera filming all day, so if a member of another out door pursuits group decides to get confrontational, I will be exceedingly polite and smile as my camera films them, as at the end of the day I will be riding highways open to vehicles and they wouldn't stand in the middle of the A19 or any other road would they, nor would they request that road be closed due to noise would they.
Here's to an enjoyable days trail riding.

It shouldn't cause too much of a problem: tax, MOT, insurance, driving licence, helmet, bike in good order... sorted

More importantly, it's how we behave when we're out on the lanes that matters. We're in the lives of the walkers / cyclists / horse riders for just a few seconds, but the impression we leave (no, I don't mean tyre marks! ) lasts a lot longer.

Slow down, give them a wave and a "hello", don't cover them in mud and all should be well.

They might shout, scream and swear (although I've never had it happen to me) but why sink to their level?

Wherever you ride, the only thing I would add to the above is to 'stop' if its a horse or someone walking a dog thats off the lead. Stopping and turning off the motor then leaves them with very little to realistically complain about. Walkers and cyclists get the slow approach, wave and hello treatment. This often shocks the recepient into being nice back (most of the time). The only real trouble I have encountered is a bobble hat swinging a stick around in the middle of a track - didnt stop for him as he was obviously a fuckwit.

small groups, quiet cans and adopting stealth mode is the way to go.

I stop at riding a serrow and wearing an open face lid though =-]
