    +1 with leeexc's comments. To be fair I've never seen anyone race motocross without one. If you take your own fingers off fine by me but if you took off my son's in a bump I would raise a civil action as your bike is not fit for purpose. Bob.

    And what about the big fat rear sprocket with no upper chain gaurd waiting to slice all your fingers off lol and yet most riders take them off

    Wow thats harsh , i can see why for not having one at all but not for slightly modifying it so it works better

    Like I said the top of the sprocket is not going to pull your fingers in unless you are in reverse, so a chance if you get your fingers in there whilst rolling back or even whilst putting lube on the chain or cleaning it but the main problems are top of the front sprocket and bottom of the rear sprocket.

    Unless you're a mate of mine who chopped the top of a finger off whilst lubing a chain..... even he doesn't know how he did it.

    13 250exc, 14xc head, 38pilot, n8rh clip2 with 0.2mm shim, 168 main.... '17 300 exc, 42.5pilot, 450 main, 43-73 needle, clip2 with a 0.1mm shim.......shims from Vario-helicopters UK, 90840 is 0.3mm, 90830 is 0.2mm and 90820 is 0.1mm
