    Racing Etiquette

I really enjoyed the Dead Easy Event at Tong but I have a couple of questions about racing etiquette.

There were a couple of sections (drops and climbs) where riders were backing up because people were slow down them or people had fallen. There was quite an obvious queue to ride the section but some people either just ignored the queue or took a different line.

What the format? I know it's racing but cutting in when there's a line of riders waiting to ride a section is a bit cheeky?

Also can you take any line as long as it's between the tape? There were some sections where I thought people were course cutting but in retrospect they did stay between the tape they just turned off way before the end of the tape on one side?

In between the tape is fine.
If a class higher rider is pushing through it's probably because they can ride around the stuck riders. If it's in the same class you should shout abuse, throw rocks or trees at them or as a last resort ram them in the leg with your bike until you break their leg.

Don't wait in the que, barge your way to the front riding over anything that's in your way while shouting abuse at all the cunts causing the jam...just make sure you don't fall off if you adopt this method.

Or let them eat some water and mud, like you did with Mr.46 (if I remember right) at the Sucker Punch Extreme.

Find a way past. Sometimes what looks impossible is actually not bad at all. Nothing ventured nothing gained. When you come around the next lap everyone else will be on the "new line" apart from the person who gets stuck in the same place each lap. You'll know who they are as they will be on the limiter spinning helplessly on a rock, log, mud patch, rut or root.

Just remember if you're at low speed a tyre will dig down not push you forwards. Revving the shit out of it won't help- shout at these riders so they don't trash the course.
This is all I can see when I open the throttle:

    Keep out the way!
