hidden switch

I have a 2005 450 exc and want to put a hidden switch somewhere for a bit of security when i leave it when out on the trails.
question is what is the best wire to cut so the bike wont start even on the kick start i dont want to start cutting wires and fucking the loom

Yes, I do them. £25 inc P&P. Comes with instructions, plugs into KTM loom using same connectors as KTM

A friend of mine has one of kevs old bikes and that has one of his hidden switches fitted , even though i knew it was fitted could i fuck find it until my mate showed me where it was

I'm definitely interested. Looking at doing something similar but why fix what isn't broken? Kev does the set up you do disconnect the battery? As I'm after cutting off the battery whilst in storage to save me having to do it manually.

I had a 200 with a hidden switch, I only found it by chance. Was very well hidden and pretty useful, just don't forget about it and flood your bike! :hmh:

Kev, does it just kill the ignition circuit or does it disable the starter motor as well?

Can do both if thats what you want

Just ask at time of ordering. You need to break into the loom inside the airbox to cut out the starter, but full instructions provided

Kev supplied me one for my 350, can fit where ever you like (that's practical of course) Seat and tank off, no wires to cut, 30 mins tops. I'd recommend without reservation.
You could make your own, but wouldnt save much and you'd have to figure out/find the right connectors etc.

what's everyone think about a keyed ignition,as well as kev's hidden switch?
would be nice to pull a key out at the petrol station,cafe etc............

Already on it. Got a switch lot from Kev. Waiting for my leg to heal so I can hobble back in to that garage but I've got a keyed switch (couple of quid from Maplin- used for electronic solenoid locks on the garage windows ) got one left over sink plan to bastardise kev's kit with the keyed switch instead of a toggle switch, not unpickable but if i put if in a thought out location it shouldn't be forceable with a screwdriver.

KevInYorks is actually the output from a Google application. After years of development the program can now search and answer most KTM related questions.

There were glitches earlier on this year where the algorithm was confused by Wazza's posts so it started gathering information and making recommendations about strange sexual practices.

Thankfully we have managed to irradicate those errant tracks and now KevInYorks is once again 100% KTM, zero % personality.

+1 Well made & good idea.

Easy to fit, suggest removing tank, to make it truly simple. Hardest part is getting tank back on.

The main issue is if he sells to many, then everyones gonna know where to look. But then as you may already own one, you may not want to steal another..!!??
