    Vee rubber tyres

Has anyone comes across these tyres before (VEE RUBBER) and have any experience of them.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pair-of-Road-L...item4838409427

I'm more used to selecting tyres for my 990 Adventure - but have now got a WR250F Yamaha which needs a pair of tyres.

These look like a bargain and according to the write up are well rated in magazines etc.

My WR seems to be an American model - so come with odd size tyres - 4.00 x 18 rear and 100 x 21 front.

    I think I can fit 90/90 x 21 and 120/80 x 18 - although the handbook says 120/90 x 18.

ANYWAY .......... Vee Rubber tyres - anyone have anything to say?

    Pete

I bought a set of these recently, Front is fine, but the rear basically f_cked after only & couple of outings, Also the rear is very narrow for a 120 compared to Michelin AC-10 120,
Been using AC-10's for last few years & heavy duty tubes with no probs. 2nd time out i had a puncture so i'm thinking the V rubber rears are not for me anyway.

    Buy cheap buy twice IMO.

only used the vee rubber rear, couldn't fault it for grip.
the pattern is very similar to michelin comp3 but wears hell of a lot quicker.but priced a lot less, its down to how much you want to spend and what you want to use them for.

I'm using a pair at the moment on the 450, they do wear quickly, noticable after the first couple of rides but very good off road, they're now 2/3 worn but still worked ok today in the very wet conditions. The front is also really out of balance, you can see the whole front of the bike shaking on the road Not quite as good value as it would appear but not bad. Personally I'd rather pay a bit more and not have to change them so often.

I sometimes use the VeeRubber rear MX tyres and find them to be pretty decent for the money, just as good as S12's in my opinion.
