    What rear tyre

I am sure this question has been done to death, but can anybody offer some advice.
I want to replace my rear tyre, but not sure if I need to pay the price for a new OE tyre.
All I use my bike for is green lanes, generally muddy terrain, but also a bit of wet rocks (not a lot) and the usual farm track type surface.
I am looking for a hard wearing and long lasting tyre, the trouble is, there can be a bit of road work between the lanes.
I was thinking a motocross tyre but I am sure these aren't road legal, so not sure what to go for?
Good grip, hard wearing, and cheaper than the Metzeler six days. A big ask I know, but a question I am sure has been debated many times.
    Any offers? Cheers.

I hate reccomending cheap tyres but the C02 will fit the bill perfectly .

If ya wanna spend a little more the Michalin M12 is a corker , i raced on one at Butts Quarry (slate) for a 6 hr event , the 24HR Dawn till Dusk , did two more 3 Hr hare and hounds on it then ripped the beading out the side wall at Reading MX track but the tread still wasnt bad !!

    All i use are the M and S 12 michalins .
A bad days Racin is better than a good days work

Trelleborg `Ten Master`, does the job for me, better than those nasty mitas c02`s and about the same money too.
Michelin Comp 4 up front, or a Bridgestone Gritty front as a second option.
