    Post Spluttering

    Good day!
Got my bike out the other day as it has been sat for a few months. Let her warm up so i could check the oil levels. Once it was hot i reved her a little and she spluttered... then i pulled the throttle back sharply and she died.

Is this simply fuel air mix is wrong or something else maybe? Im going to tackle the problem tomorrow but was wondering where the best place to start would be?

Bike was perfect last time i rode btw...

    Cheers
    Tom

Probably stale fuel, drain the tank and float bowl and refill tank with fresh, didnt state what bike.
Fuel in this country needs a stabilser if you are leaving it stood for a while, good practice is to turn off the fuel at the tap and let the engine run the carb dry, nasty stuff to clear out of the jets when it goes all gloopy from sitting in there so long.

Its a 250sxf 2006. I do leave the fuel tap off each time after i ride.
Ill drain all the fuel and put some fresh in tomorrow and let you know how things are.

Drain tank, drain carb, remove plug and either clean or replace and it'll be fine!
