I have 2011 250 xc. I have a terminal block that connects to the starter motor relay (think thats what its called, attached to battery box, has main fuse in it). I have three wires that go into the terminal block (broken). They are yellow & brown, red & white and brown. Anyone know which one goes where please? Was going to try trial and error but think it will just arc out.

Don't do the trial and error thing. At best it'll arc and you'll realise it's wrong, at worst the battery will explode or the bike will start self harming and set itself on fire.

Batteries store a huge amount of energy, be very careful with them.

Get a wiring diagram and you'll see what connects where. If there's any doubt take it to someone who knows what they're doing. Seriously, shorting the battery +ve to earth is not a good thing.

if it's the same as my 300 exc the brown is the neutral from the starter relay to the frame, the yellow/brown is a common 12v dc from the battery to the bike and joins a connector under the tank, the red/white is a feed from the starter switch which activates the relay when the button is pressed.
