    2012 300 oil mixture

Getting a 2012 300, according to Edmonsons KTM 60:1 is the right ratio, doesn't sound much oil to me, what mixture does everyone else run?

Myself and a friend have 2011 300 EXC's and we both run 60:1 and have not had any problems at all, bike runs amazing that way. I know most people say 50:1 and the dealer said that too but if the manual states it you have to assume it's OK to run 60:1. I can't see a problem following KTM's recommendation.

i've used 60:1 with my 2012 250 xc for running in, 2 x H&H's and 2 x 1hr sprints with no problems at all. Runs absolutely perfect on standard jetting and is fast as hell!!

Seemed a bit light on oil to me but it's what the manual and my dealer said use so I stuck with it.

interesting. Awaiting delivery of 250exc and was planning on using 50:1 as usual but 60:1 sounds great. Harder to work out ratio tho. What does 60:1 mean per litre of fuel then?

Nah, really. I picked it up on the 19th May, rode Southern Counties the following sunday and rode both days at TnT last weekend.

Last time I rode 2 strokes was when I was MX racing as a schoolboy back in 1991. It was 32:1 then! Had to question 60:1 myself but it's been fine.
