Take the cartridge out and move the circlip. Its a pain compared to OC forks.

11 250 EXC has OC forks, 4.2 springs 513mm length including preload spacers. 110 air gap standard.

Compared the the oc forks these feel shite, but there must be a good reason for using them!! So there must be settings that someone has, to remedy these forks

there are but you need to tools to set them up right, mine are ace much better than oc but chris otr did them.

What they CC give you over the OCis the abilty to hit things much harder without the shock going through your arms/shoulders like the OC which means you can ride faster and not worry about the big hits. I did a back to back test last week same bike different forks and i could ride over the large rocks without any major deflections for longer not so the case on the bike fitted with OC forks.

There are loads of varibles including bladder pressure, oil ammount, spring rate etc etc. What spec are the forks first mx or xc there is a code on the bottom that will give the valve spec and spring rate.

I would say for you racing snakes you will need 4.0 springs, bladder pressure between 1.2-1.5 and 350ml-360ml of oil.

closed chamber forks are also 10mm longer than oc so you need to run them 10mm higher up in the clamps anyway

Just ring chris otr, for what he charges to set them up right it aint worth messing about with

bobby wouldnt say that if he has a go on my smoker so he needs to speak to chris it will transform the bike. I have pretty much found the limits of OC forks hence moving to CC
