08 300 exc starter motor removal

I want to permanently remove the starter from my 300, is it simply a case of buying a different housing and removing the working parts or is there anything else I need to do?.
    Cheers

Not sure how easy it is to take off Leisure Trail did it for me, but it's the 2007 casing that fits...

All you need to do is remove the casing with the starter motor on and the bendix along with the associated wiring. You fit the case from a non electric start 250 or 300 and job done. You can remove the battery and carrier as well.

2008 XC 300 case is what you need, leisure trail will sort you out they know the score.

5513010200025 is the part number you need, it costs £44.82 before your 15% forum discount. It is the same case on any 08 onwards non electric start 250/300 2 stroke as they all superseed to this part number

    cheers
