KTM 125SX Engine Rebuild Costs?
Hi,
Anyone know a ballpark figure I should expect to pay for a bottom end engine rebuild on a 2004 KTM 125SX.
Bike started making weird sounds today and somebody I think said it sounds like crank bearing(s).
Anyone want to quote for the work within 50 miles of Windsor if I bring the bike to you. Need it back by 25th November though!
Cheers

The "Moto"
Well i paid £100 plus parts and crank pressing , this was out of the frame which would only take you an hour to do yourself , this was by Niknak though and he may be a little too far north for you
If its only the crank bearings why not do it yourself (not talking big end bearing here)

Back on an RFS again :)
Cant really give a price until the cylinder is inspected as bearing debris makes its way up into the bore, ruining the piston and possibly the plating in the cylinder.
£450 excluding replate, £600 including replate. Thats full replacement of all bottom end bearings and sensible upgrades in gearbox etc.

Suppose I could have a go at taking the engine out but was hoping to dump the bike somewhere and it comes back all tickety boo! My mechanical skills would definitely not stretch to replacing bearings...!
