    Ackra exhaust

All this talk of Ackra exhausts has got me thinking!

So how much should i pay for one fitted, re map etc etc

Where have you fitted tax disc?

If i fit passenger seat it doesn't lock properly, i can pull it off, have tried quite a few times without success anyone else had the same problem?

Just need to get some miles on it now, it does look fantastic especially in white.

    Rog,

I've bit the bullet and ordered the Akra system,as my dealer who is also a mate has cut me a VERY good deal.

Ref the seat, remove the stupid washers on the metal prongs as they apparently shouldn't be there. The seat then fits fine.

I encountered the same problem earlier today when my wife decided that I'd been hogging all the fun and that it was time she tried the pillion out. Ah well... it had to come

I faffed about with the seat for about ten minutes and could not get it to lock in properly. You could lift it off, it did require a bit of a tug.

Anyway, I convinced my wife that it wasn't a problem (and checked the life insurance cover ). She never holds on to the strap anyway, preferring to hold on to me, and her weight would keep the seat in place.

It didn't present a problem at all, and when I checked the seat at our second stop it had locked in. I'm not all that impressed with the way that it's supposed to lock in to be honest - I certainly wouldn't be happy with a pillion just using the strap to hold on to.

I didn't alter any of the suspension and it performed flawlessly, but then we're both lightweights. The only problem that my wife encountered was with the pillion seat being so slippy.

By the way... I couldn't help but laugh at the sight of my wife trying to get on to the pillion with it being so high. Chuckling at the reflection I noticed in a shop window showing just how much higher than me she was on the bike resulted in a slap on the back of the helmet, lol

    I don't suppose he'd do a bulk order? lol

I got in touch with Bikers Jersey last week and am waiting to find out what sort of price they can do the system for. Their website states that if you get charged VAT on it when it comes in to the UK, that they will pay it.

Aha, cheers for that. I looked at those but figured that they were there to keep the underside of the seat away from the paintwork

I took the misses out on mine last week, she didn't find it too bad. The seat is very high and slippy though. We could do with someone like "Triboseat" comming up with a cover for it. Also just a word of caution, I would advise anyone carrying pillions to put some protective film under the rear corners of the seat as they have marked the lacquer.

Yeah, good advice. I had a sheet of that anti-slip matting about so put some of that on the areas that I suspected might rub. I also stuck duck tape on anywhere that I thought my wifes boots might have touched
