    Angry blank clocks - again

I switched on the bike this morning to find no graphics on the dash and the bike not wanting to run for more than a few seconds. I phoned the KTM helpdesk and they said they would send someone out with in the hour - so bang goes my ride I thought! Anyway, I went back to the bike and it fired up with all bells and lights working, so I cancelled the callout, and went out for the day. I'm sure I read someone here having a similar problem - any idea what caused it or whether it happened again? I'm going to phone the dealer tomorrow, but I'd like some idea what has happened to others.

Erm this happened to me in Belgium. Not on an RC8 but my SD-R.

Turned out to be a blown fuse. Bike ran though but no dash graphics at all. Alarm was interesting.

Rode all the way back to UK with no dash.

replaced fuse, never blown again, don't know why it happened?

You could try looking there. If the lot has gone down it's got to be something like that, not blown perhaps but maybe gone high resistance or open circuit. (Water ingress maybe dunno).

    Hello there,

been reading posts for a while but not posted before. I'm on my second display due to condensation which dried out and left water marks on the inside of the display. Has happened again twice on the replacement display but fortunately no watermarks this time. All three times when bike was parked up in full sun. Getting to the point - its always garaged but last night was left out in the rain outside a hotel before a track day at mallory park. This morning had no dash display at all and when I put the indicators on they just stayed on. Warmed up a bit later and everything started working fine - clearly moisture is getting into the electronics somewhere. Not best pleased but then the sun came out and had an absolutely awesome day on the track - If you haven't booked a track day yet DO IT. Just need new set of tyres now
