    Tyres - What You Got?

Just out of interest, I'm running the boot's it came with at 36psi front and back... but felt the front & rear slip on a greasy road this morning which I didn't like!!

I have Pilot Powers on my K6 750 which are awesome on the track and in the pishing rain!... I think that I have them on the RC8 at the earliest opportunity!!

I'm still on the Dragon Supercorsa mate and loving them - haven't had any issues with them at all - must be down to me having much better throttle control than you They feel a bit sh*t at the moment on the road as they're still at 32f/30r as I forgot I'd lowered the pressures for the trackday, lol.

Only got 2700 miles out of the rear and will probably look at trying the Corsa III (same profile as the Supercorsa which I'm enjoying) or the Pilot Power when the front's ready for replacement in an attempt to try and get the same performance but a little more mileage. Which compound Powers are you running? That's the Pilot Power Race yes? Not the 2CTs? I've a mate running the Power Race on his gixer 600 and he rates them highly. Mostly used on the road and Nurburgring (and he doesn't hang about around there) and he's getting 4k out of the rear

I agree that in the wet stock tyres are not ideal and I've had moments sliding about too, but in the right conditions they're awesome tyres. My tyres will need replacing before the winter and I'm interested to see what other tyres people have gone with too. I'll ride mine on dry days through the winter (whilst using plenty of FS365!) and I reckon I'm going to go with either 2CTs or the new Bridgestone 016s which the guy from Bike magazine has put on his......should then be fine for the winter plus the return to the 'good' summer weather.

    Don't be cheeky!!!!!

It's the Power Race I have the Gixer and I have found them to be very good indeed, they were fantastic at Rockingham where despite being in the novice group I think I was breaking later than the fast group.... possibly better brake control... and I've had no momements on the road with them either!

I know the SuperCorsas are very good in the dry, I've had it well cranked over with no issues, but I don't have much confidence in the wet as for the Bridgestone B016, if they are anything like the 14's you can keep them... £180 for two tyres and £350 for fairing, lever, footpeg, clipon, break lever, mirror... GET THE PICTURE!!!!!

They're dual compound tyres so should be different to the 014s. And more expensive

Had pilot power race on my zx9r(soft front, medium rear),2 trips to the ring including being rode in torrential rain from hull to Glasgow
    found them great.
got about 2000 miles from these trips.was plenty of tread left but were getting a bit slippy(not too bad) and blueing at the end due to the number of heat cycles.
thats the down side of race tyres, but on the track-awesome

I did not like the Dragons, they don't warm up fast enough on bad slick Greek roads and even if they do they lose their temperature quite fast again and lose grip.
I just did 1000km and change to BT-16. Completely new tyre, 3 compound at the rare 2 at the front . They give complete confidence on the road even on slippery surfaces. I also went on track and they were fantastic until..... but that's another story!!!

I've got Dunlop Qualifiers. I've done about 500 miles so far (mainly in damp and wet) and they seem great.
