2500 miles form a tyre???? you do no the bike has more than 1 gear dont you!!???

ffs m8... thats fantastic mileage for a sports bike..
i used to get about 1000 miles from a rear on any of my previous sports bikes, the 950 is fairing considerably better, ive done 1000 miles already and i reckon i might get another 500!!!

The Pirelli is too track biased for road use. I'm getting about 1700 out of mine, but only because it has been too wet for any hard riding where I live, and I have no confidence in the Supercorsa in the wet. They aren't getting enough heat into them, and lose what they do have too quickly. I'm using the whole tyre when I do get a dry run, but it is so infrequent, that I reckon they are a waste. I'm going back to a Michelin pilot power 2CT in the next few weeks. Loved them on my Gixer, and hope they will feel as good on this bike.

What are these gears you speak of? And could you please tell me why my bike has been making a screaming noise a lot lately and smells of burning plastic?

BT016's are Bridgestones answer to the 2CT's. Tyres can be a personal thing, if you have better experience with Bridgestones over Michelins, then stick with what you like. I'm going for the 2CT's through past experience, rather than waste £250 on a set of tyres that might be marginally better or worse.

+1... if buying the Bridgestone don't forget to budget for replacing fairings, footrests, clipon, levers, etc.

OK, maybe a bit bitchy... BUT.. .I'll be getting the Power Race's on ASAP for all the reasons AdamB stated in his posts.

Why not just drop down to the next pirelli, with a bit more tread. Diablo Rossos I think they are.

I think Ducati fit the Rossos to the 1098 as standard - not a bad advertisement for them, if it's true.
