dodge131: Good suggestion to rubber mount and I was considering some rubber sleeves over the mounting bolts to act as 'stand-offs' from the subframe, however this thing is really, really tough and the attached lightweight components should not stress it very much. BTW, it never rains in Calif and if it does, I've got some bikes with real fenders.

All black and ready to mount (including small cat hair on edge. wayne

Great looking unit, good job! I, like sharky 34, would be grateful for a scan of your template, as in the UK, we have bigger licence plates to deal with and may need to amend that part of the design a bit. Also, as I am fitting Wings cans, I have a little bit more room to play with, as compared to your Akras.
    Once again, great job!

I'll work on it. Careful of wheel/tire clearance if the plate gets much larger! I'm unable to fully collapse the suspension, however via demension it seems OK. May have to flatten out the angle of the plate??? wayne

Just wondering if you've gotten a template up yet, or if you could snail mail one my way.
