Thread: Duke 2 Y piece £400 justification?????

Hello everyone. I've searched through old threads on Y piece, and I think I know deep down this is damn expensive, but short of a miracle surely 491 euros plus post is too much for a Y piece from Sommer in Germany.

I can get Duke fitted with Akros, jetted and airbox mod local dealer £650- ride in ride out. Maybe patience or 'local' manufacture of a Y if I can get some pictures and a drawing at a later date.
Love the Duke. Since sold my '99 R1 as this is more fun and relatively licence safe. Years of Jap and Triumph looking for the buzz to come back, and now I get it well under a ton- didn't buzz on R1 till 140+. If only KTM made or trained women, I wouldn't be going through divorce????????

Thanks chap. new to site- hope I get it. Just wish someone could quantify benefits on top of akros etc- Must be worth doing though as it makes sense to looking at the standard right angle job.

I( have the Y peice.and the Akros...GET IT...it free's the flow of the N/S pipe thus gettting rid of the exhaust gasses quicker and help make the bike smoother
