    FI light

    Whenever i turn the ignition on i have the FI light briefly come on, what does this mean?

    Just the fuel injection system doing it's check and saying everything is OK. If it stays on when you start the engine or is flashing then it indicates a fault.

    sorry I didnt explain it to well, after all the other lights go on as to do the checks but the fi light stays on a couple of seconds longer, hope that explains it better

    Actually, I didn't explain myself very well. When you switch the ignition on the FI light comes on for a couple of seconds and then goes out. The oil pressure light remains on until you start the engine.

    If your FI light remains on then it could indicate a problem. Is it staying on when the engine runs or does it flash at any point ?

    I'm talking about an 05 Super Duke btw. I rode a 690 SM the other week and from memory it was the same.
