    Duke 08 Service Intervals

Sorry folks - I know this has been done already and I've looked via the ''search'' option - but I'm a bit confused.

I've a nagging doubt at the back of my mind that I've read in my handbook (which is at home and I'm at work) about the service intervals being shorter than what I'm being told by the dealer (who had to look it up and was talking superduke and not duke).

Can someone put me out of my misery as to what the score is please....

    Thanks

    Russ

Cheers Bill - I was being told every 7500k after the first thou, but what you've said ties in with what I half remembered.

Knowing how a warrenty can be void if you go over the said mileage points, are we saying that if I got it serviced for the first 1000, the clock then starts again? IE - my next service point is when the clock shows 6k and not 5K? (I know this seems thick but it's Friday!)

I believe that it is when the clock reads 5000km, not 6000km

    Ambiguous guidance from KTM?

First service at 600 miles (1000 Kms), then serviced every 3100 miles (5000 Kms).

Now is that at 3100 miles on the odometer, or is it 3100 elapsed miles after the 600 mile service - with a total odometer reading of 3700 miles?

So your bike service schedule might read - serviced @ 600 miles, then serviced @ 3100 miles, then serviced @ 6200 miles, then serviced @ 9300 miles.

    or it might read

Bike serviced @ 600 miles, then serviced @ 3700 miles, then serviced @ 6800 miles, then serviced @ 9900 miles.

So what IS the correct warrenty mileage then?

Ask KTM UK Ltd - their dealers don't seem sure!

I have been told 500 miles initial valves (£250) then 4k intervals with the first at 4500. In the pattern of valves (£300) then intermediate (£150).
