Thread: Flat Bars for 950 SM

As per the title, I want to try a flat bar on my 950. Has anyone else given this a go, and where is a good place to source one from? There seem to be plenty of 7/8" bars on the market, less so of the tapered sort that (I think!) I need.

Seen it done on a couple bikes here, but there were cable routing problems and turning circle/tank issues.

You might not like the new riding position, with more leaning forward but leaving your feet still under your bum? ...rearsets, or Superduke foot controls woudl make more sense in combo?

Hmm, fair points - I'd wondered about tank clearance. I figure that it won't make an enormous difference to the riding position, but will certainly consider moving foot controls as well. Anyone got any idea who the brave souls are who've already given it a go?
