Hi Dusty - yeah, I like this one as well. How much chopping and bending did you have to do to the seat subframe to get the plastics to fit properly? Modded seat looks good as well; I assume to do this you have to unpick the stables and re-cut the foam and then staple back the covering?

    Cheers,

    mark.

It took a wee bit of chopping and bending like buddy shame I didnt take any pics while I was doing it as I coulda sent ya em, I basically bought the plastics and modded the frame till it was right, had to cut some bits of the plastic too, oh and remount the exhaust bracket. Yeah took the staples out cut the seat foam rough then shaved it so it was all smooth and sleek then stapled it all back on.

Hi Mark, I can not reply to your message because you are up to your receiving limit, you will have to delete a few messages.

I fitted all my LC4's with these light units, they are called DRC EDGE II and can be found on Ebay.

    Hi All,

Thanks to everyone for their replies with advice and ideas. I have enough info and help to get on with the job now...so.....does anyone have a rear subframe that I can use from an 05/6 bike as I'm not confident with chopping bits out, bending and welding the existing one. Any other bits like rear fender and airbox plastics would also be useful.

pm me if you have anything that you want to sell.

    Cheers,

    Mark.

    Hey Mark

It's not going to be that easy, with a new shape sub frame you will need:

    New seat
    Airbox
    Battery tray
    Rear light
    Side panels
    Rear fender
Seat catch and cable with lever (same as decomp lever) and a bit of re-wiring i.e. moving the regulator/rectifier, battery leads ect….

I will have a look tomorrow to see what bits I have spare, I do have the original (new shape) steel backend off the black LC4 but I don't know if I want to sell that because they are quite hard to come across and it's like new. I do have new and old rear fenders in orange and plenty of seats (new and old and all years).

I will post some pics tomorrow to try and help you figure out the best way to convert the backend.

    Steve
