Thread: ktm 525

looking for a bit of advice used to have a 625 sxc supermoto 03 loads of fun regret selling it . bought a 950 sm 06 great bike but not getting the same buzz out of riding it . so im thinking of selling it looking at 525,s i know they need oil changed every 300 miles or so but don't know much more about them .

what are they like to ride ?

whats the range out of a full tank of fuel ?

and anything else that would help thank's in advance any help would be appreciated

I ride a 525 and have yet to find anything thats as much fun as it. Did test ride a SD yesterday which was fun, still not as good as the 525 though.

Get about 60 miles to a tank, not ran it out completely though so not sure how far you'll get on reserve.

Oil changes are peace of piss to do yourself. Long straight roads are boring but if your buying one and plan on using on said mentioned roads then your getting the wrong bike. Everywhere i go i plan to ride the twisty back roads. Some will say you cant ride them for long periods but i ride mine all day. Ive even rode from stratford on avon to box hill to meet for a rideout with friends then after a rideout i rode all the way back up.

Parts are easy to come by, unless you want a devtech lol, and most jobs are easily done yourself without any expensive specialist tools. And there is a wealth of knowledge on this site if you ever have a problem with it you need to sort out.

thanks for that what kind of speed does it do. i ride mostly on twisty roads dont like straights find them boring . also any years i should be avoiding
