Does anyone now any hard side cases available for the 950 SM?
In the Touratech book there are cases for the Superenduro 950 that look like they should fit but will be expensive. Best bet might be SW MOTECH, you buy a fitting kit to suit the bike, side plates then an adapter kit to fit pretty much any boxes you want. Try SW-MOTECH - motorcycle accessories, Luggage Systems , Side Carrier , Navigation, Crashbar - EN
I found soft luggage pretty good, not the KTM stuff though. Just protect the exhaust cans to stop the bags melting onto them. A much cheaper option.
I already use soft luggage and I am getting pretty tired of strapping it to the bike, convenience over costI found soft luggage pretty good, not the KTM stuff though. Just protect the exhaust cans to stop the bags melting onto them. A much cheaper option.![]()
Going to Italy next week on my 2008 990 SM so purchased the SW Motech Quick Lock Evo Carriers, luggage rack for the top & Givi 33ltr Trekker hard panniers from Bykebitz. All the Motech stuff comes with the fittings for the 990 and 950. Being German it fits perfectly and the quality is top notch. The Givi boxes are really good quality too and the lids have two opening options (Full lid or top qtr when they're on the bike) They also have built in handles and locks so you don't have to pay the extra like the Trax ones. I have to say it was a bit on the expensive side (£700 +) but it will last forever.
I know i harp on about it , but the sw motech speedpack wide fits the 950 likie a glove and takes about 2 mins to fit . It allows you to ride the bike as it was intended and doesn't restrict filtering or screw up the mpg or looks while carrying up 120l of kit.
And I met Paul here in Italy by total chance. Didn't even have my bike here with me, but we got talking and what do you know!
