Hello. I’ve been reading several posts about airbox hacks and replacement aimed at increasing power (I’m talking about my 2013 ktm freeride 350, but I suppose my question is totally general).
Most people say that if you do that you have to remap the bike, or it will run too lean with disastrous...
It seems that all the information on here about the 640 airbox mod are ancient, and require parts made by users. Does anyone have any information on where i can get my hands on a link pipe for a K&N filter or a metal gauze for the side pannel?
I've got a 2003 Ktm 640 LC4 SM btw

I Got Tango'd after back to back test rides a few weeks ago on the GS, Multistrada, and 1190.
Just arranged to collect my new 1190 Adventure on Saturday.
In reality I ride on tarmac (hence not getting the R) but I might be tempted gravelly stuff if anyone in the Kent Sussex areas...
Was wondering if anyone had any issues with the moto hooligan airbox mod.....with reference to mud , crud, water, salt and genaral british road crap causing any issues with the mod....also can you order up replacement filters here within the uk from k&n??
