Any ideas chaps?

The same fuse is used for the brake light and after replacing a blown fuse last night, it blew again today!

I don’t think it lasted very long at all.

What could be causing it?

It’s a 2017 350 EXC Six Days

there's often a wire rubbed against the headstock..... on the later bikes there's a protective sticker to stop this happening...

Check each and every wire (you can ignore the brown wires as they're earth) that runs along the headstock as others mentioned. If you have a steering damper, the clamp mount on the headstock tends to cause this as the wires rub on it and eventually (not long) shed themselves of the wire jacketing and short out.

If you can’t find a problem with the wiring. Unplug everything that’s on the same circuit as the 10 amp fuse one by one. As it could be the back light it’s self that’s caput for example.

It was the fan!

As soon as the bike got hot enough and the fan went to kick in it blew the fuse.

It doesn’t spin freely anymore so I suspect the bearing has packed up. It can’t be stripped either.

Dealers want just over £70 + delivery but found the same one on eBay for £50 posted.

Shouldn’t have to replace as bikes only just over a year old
