Hi

I was out last night and for the second time since purchasing the bike about two months ago on turning engine on the yellow warning triangle appears on the dash and on the info screen 'General fault' flashes.

first time it happened the warning and triangle disappears after I had left the bike turned off and come back to it.

last night did not seem to work

any similar experiences or ideas on what the cause is?

Cheers

On my 1190 I've only seen the general failure when I've had the bike in bits and switched on before reconnecting something like tank connectors, forks or shock, airbox sensors etc.

The bike obviously thinks something is broken or missing...have you done the obvious check of all fuses, made sure all connectors are plugged in properly?

Our 1090 did this on holiday, first time ignition off / on solved it, 2nd time it did not, but after a longer stop it went out and almost 6 months later has never returned.

Check everything works when light comes on, horn, indicators etc. as can be pretty much anything electrical causing it, but according to my dealer nothing to worry about with regard to using the bike.
