Whilst I'm waiting for the bike to turn up and with a bit of spare time on my hands I was thinking about the 12v supply by the clocks which is presumably a cig lighter socket. Is this a continuous live as I was thinking of putting a dual USB socket in there but having looked on amazon they all appear to be backlit and have voltage readouts which would obviously drain the battery. So is it a switched live or continuous live and has anyone put a USB socket there and found one which isn't backlit.Or would it be an option to get one of these led USB ports but wire it to the acc2 and just push the other wires to the side , thanks

Behind the dash
ACC1 is permanent live
ACC2 is switched live
Power socket is switched live (some people swap the leads with ACC1 and use the socket for charging the bike with optimate etc)

Under seat
ACC1 permanent live
ACC2 switched live.

I have a non lit, waterproof, double USB socket from ACC2 under my seat. My phone is connected to my sat nav (Tom Tom 450) for traffic updates so I leave it under the seat on charge when riding.

On a 16-18 SD GT BTW
