Hi guys,

I have an ‘03 450 exc which I am converting to a motard.

during the process I have decided to change my stock front light to an R-Tech V Face Full LED Light. I have had difficulties wiring the new light up.

I know off the new light the following colour wires correspond to which light.

Black = Earth
Red = Day time running light/ Parkers
Green = Low beam
Yellow = High beam

Now off the bike there is a Blue wire, White wire, Brown wire and Green wire. I am struggling to work out what goes where and how to wire this new light up.

If anyone knows anything about rectifying this issue, your help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Is the led light dc only? Lights on exc's are ac are they not? I know the ktm powerparts and trailtech light use an upgraded stator with high power dc output.

Depends on draw of new light but if you don't then you will need to feed it from dc side ie the battery with relays etc. Or put a bridge rectifier in ac supply to light. I went trailtech stator and rectifier. DC output I mentioned above is from the trailtech rectifier. You can modify the ktm stator I think.
