The barrel on my XC is damaged around the exhaust outlet.



What are my options? New barrel from KTM? Can I go to a 300Cc ? Is there a performance option?

If my memory serves me right the damage is just the pv case cover. You should be able to take it off and replace. A company who sell a flange cover might be something to consider I bought mine from Tusk.

you can buy that part separately but it's not cheap, buy a flange protector too, they do seem to work as i've not cracked mine despite trying.

Does the replacement part fit straight on or does it need to be machined?

You can replace the flange but it's still expensive, part number 54837001200.

If you aren't going to get the existing flange repaired I am looking for a broken one so I can get a flange guard made up for this generation of bike, happy to pay postage of course.

I deffo had a flange protector on my 13 250....

EDIT, just checked 07 and 16 on KTM Parts Finder and that are the same part number....

Trail tech used to sell them for the older bikes but I can't seem to find them now so I assume they are discontinued, I have them for 17-21 but they apparently don't fit the older bikes.

I think Slavens Racing sell them. I bought one about 18months ago. Tusk is the brand and my bike is a 2015.
