I think I've answered my own question. Looks like it's a water temperature sensor.

Any idea what the contraption on the back of the barrel is? It looks like it has an electrical connector but doesn't look like another injector.

I think I've answered my own question. Looks like it's a water temperature sensor.

Water temp. sensor is on the cylinder head or nearby on most of the bikes.
It wouldn't make much sense to check temperature at cylinder base.
