Hi Rob and welcome. I run Akra cans(not full system) on all my 350’s and have never had a remap, they run fine. That is not to say you can’t or shouldn’t remap but there is no need. FYI the difference in weight between the standard can and Akra is huge, the Akra being much lighter.

I believe that should run just fine straight out of the box.

Thanks guys, I'm having some wheels made up at Talon Engineering and the dealership is sourcing the exhaust so it should be about 6 weeks or so when I take delivery.

I think I'll run it in for 300-500 miles and then treat it to a new Vortex ecu...

Should be decent enough?

Once run in and I make changes to the bike, will it run just fine and more powerful with just the full Akrapovic/Vortex upgrade or do I need to do anything else?

Iv heard about desmog kit and airbox reed removal... What are your thoughts?
Has anybody done this?

I think your reading into this too much, the reeds and desmog stuff tends to be US bikes. EU bikes should come ready to go straight from the dealer after PDI

 

I searched high and low to find someone in the UK (Pref South East) that can map a modern KTM but havn't found anyone - I can only find options in the US. I have a 2024 model 450 and only have an FMF can but was considering a header next, so def keen for a map!

 

well I also have a 24 450 which I've been tweaking the mapping for now for around 6 months
