Not a TPI, but my TE300 doesn’t really like the road. I wouldn’t sit at a constant speed and the real issue is the gearing, way, way too low and I have gone a tooth up on the front.
Used to ride greenlanes until 3 years ago.
Our usual ride in Kent was 70 miles, roughly 50 road miles / 20 off road miles...14/50T.
It does not like to be at steady revs/speeds and probably not the best for this purpose, but certainly had no issues.
If you want to hate your wonderful 300 tpi (DIRT BIKE)take it on the road ,it worse than terrible.and it hates sitting at constant speed/revs ,longest I've done was about 2 miles , awful ,plus with hd tubes and tyre/rim locks wheel balance is shocking
I had been considering swapping my FE350 for a 2T 300, but I do a fair bit of road in between trails so I don't think I'll bother pursuing that option any more.
