My 2009 RC8R has been suffering a random errant idle - it normally ticks over at 2,000rpm (which seemed on the high side- more on that later) but sometimes it would be as high as 3-4,000rpm.
At first I thought it must have an air leak but if I shut it off and then restarted it would immediately be back to normal again. Also more recently it's been dropping down to the point of almost stalling.
It was terrible on my last ride on a very hot day so over the weekend I took the plunge and delved into the throttle bodies with TuneECU.
Throttle cable slack adjusted, idle speed stepper motor & TPS all reset.
I can't have fucked it up completely as it started first push of the button and 15min reset revealed a steady (and slightly lower - now sub 2k rpm) idle.
Needs a test ride though to confirm if all is now good in the land of orange....
