Could do with some knowledge from you esteemed forum-ers

My 250 EXC-F manual says that there should be a fork service, S15N, at 15 operating hours.

Does anybody know what this entails? I might have a crack at it myself - but if anybody's had it done at a dealer and could let us know what it cost then I might take the easy route?

Just to add some clarity - I'm trying to find out if it's just replace oil, or if it's the seals as well.

Wasting your money IMO.

You're meant to replace piston at so many hrs don't know anyone who does.

I would wait for seals to start leaking then get them done.

Await for the abuse now.

And 9 times out of 10, your seals aren't knackered...they just need to be cleaned and re-seated!!

Thanks guys, sort of my thinking really...

The only thing that made me think about doing it is:

* I suspect that it is oil only, so not too costly
* I'm pondering putting stiffer springs in, so I could do it all in one shot (I'm not the lightest of riders at 110kg without gear... add 10kg for gear, [I've already uprated the rear spring to 74nm / 76nm - can't remember])
* I've seen some nasty metal bits come out after run-in period engine oil changes... and I'm concerned there might be similar swarf running around in the forks

I. Might do the oil maybe if there was no other issues bit not until a lot more hours than that
